To say the Shebeen is the hidden gem of Mason City is a dramatic understatement. Hands down, the best cocktail, and overall most chill spot in north Iowa. The vibe is classic speakeasy. The cocktails and bartenders are world class.

This place is hands down one of the most exquisite spots I've had the pleasure of visiting lately. Talk about a hidden gem in Mason City! The moment you step through the door, you're greeted by a dimly lit room and a massive bar boasting an impressive variety of whiskey, including an outstanding selection of Japanese whiskey. The whole place exudes a classy, vintage vibe that takes you back to a golden era, where you can order drinks from a bygone time. What's more, the bartenders here are a league of their own, incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to help. And get this: they offer memberships! If I lived closer, I'd sign up in a heartbeat. Members get a load of perks, including access to a special menu of top-shelf whiskey. I can hardly wait to come back for another round at this fantastic place!

I love the atmosphere at this small speakeasy. They have a great menu of classic and unique cocktails and a full bar. They have a new password every day, but you can easily find it on their socials when they “post”. Drinks are more expensive but worth what you get! Fun little place to grab a drink with friends!

I absolutely love this gem, hunkered down in small-town Iowa! The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and the drinks have no equal. It has a seasonal menu that changes every 3 months, as well as a menu that is constant. It has, by far, the best Sazerac I've ever had. The Irish Maid is my favorite drink on the constant menu. The atmosphere is sophisticated and almost always quiet. Perfect for a date or meeting of a small group of friends. One of the best speakeasies I've been to and I frequent them in most of the cities I visit.

As a visitor, I wish we had this place where I live! Had fun trying to get into this place and it exceeded our expectation in service, taste, and vibes! I was torn between an old fashioned and an espresso martini and they had a drink that blended the two and it was amazing!

Shhhhh... it's a secret. NO WAY! This establishment is an absolute GEM! My wife and I finally got a chance to check out Walsh's Shebeen. We were not disappointed! Fantastic selection. Professional, top-notch, friendly service. Beautiful, sophisticated, and extremely clean atmosphere. We stayed for two drinks and wonderful company. I cannot recommend Walsh's Shebeen enough!
